At First Baptist the preaching and teaching ministry is the centerpiece of our church and worship.

Our preaching is expositional in style. As pastor and staff it is our goal to help believers understand the original meaning of the text and how it applies in the Christian's life.

Whether it is a single Scripture passage or several Scripture passages that cover a topic, it is the original author's intent that must be communicated to God's people. That is why we are committed to expositional preaching, because exposition derives it's message from the text, not some person's idea from the text.

Yet, we also believe in energetic and dynamic preaching that shows the living quality of the Bible, by living quality we mean that the Word of God is relevant and applicable to people of every generation (Hebrews 4:12).

We strongly affirm the Bible is sufficient for all things, to gain eternal life and live as God wants believers to live (2 Peter 1:3). Therefore, in the Bible is all a believer needs to live life and solve problems.
